Your data never leave Germany. *lamonee is operated exclusively on the servers of IONOS, a leading German provider. This means: German data protection laws, GDPR compliance, and no access by US authorities through the US Cloud Act.
How is my sensitive financial data protected?
*lamonee relies on modern, bank-level data encryption, utilizing the cryptography service of the Open Telekom Cloud. This ensures that full control over your financial data remains in Germany – for the ultimate protection of your privacy.
Does *lamonee use US services for emails or analytics?
No. *lamonee exclusively uses Germany-based services. This also means: no trackers from Google or Meta, and no US mail providers. The entire infrastructure is optimized for complete independence from overseas corporations.
Do third parties have access to my bank transactions?
Absolutely not. Since *lamonee does not use bank APIs, no data flows to intermediary financial service providers. You manage your transactions directly within *lamonee – the algorithm for automatic budget line-item assignment runs locally within the secure server environment, without any external AI analysis.

Tobias Schirski works at a major digital agency in Cologne and has been dreaming for years of a career as a rock star and a simple, clever solution for his own budget planning.
Lacking musical talent, he drew on his true skills during his parental leave and laid the foundation for *lamonee. Since then, he has been regularly working on this passion project in his spare time.
